A. Some of them are childhood nicknames, others are variations of names from pen & paper game characters or names from books.

A. My FIRST would be playing hangman on a PET computer in 5th grade (roughly 1981). Most memorable would be playing Wizardry: proving grounds of the mad overlord on the Tandy computer we got when I was in high school.
